How the collage works

A collage is several images combined into a single visual series. Frames are layered over each other until they form one silhouette, and inside that silhouette sit several different plots at once. The technique goes back to twentieth-century cinema, and it is still one of the strongest ways to fit a whole story onto a 3000×3000 square: where you are, what happened, and where the release is headed.

What your photo needs to look like

You do not need a paid photoshoot. What matters is movement and angle. An artist standing straight, arms down, staring into the lens reads as flat — the character sets the vibe of the whole cover, and it is the first thing a listener looks at. A dynamic shot taken on a phone beats a stiff studio portrait almost every time. If the pose is wrong, send clear selfies and we place your face on a body with a better stance.
